I'd certainly far rather have home-made. Hurrah to being self-sufficient in veg - the best I can say on those lines is that following some digging this afternoon we will be self sufficient in potatoes for a while now! An old friend of mine used to have chicken cooked in a Homepride 'cook-in' sauce as a treat! I only ever tried a 'cook-in' sauce once, many, many years ago ( possibly nearly 30!), and I vowed never again. I could taste the additives in it - revolting! I haven't noticed the price rises too much either - but I avoid most aisles in the supermarkets as they contain things that we don't eat, and we've been almost self-sufficient in veg for months.Scarlethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01729719876504930455noreply@blogger.com
