It's always my first port of call at the charity shops - the scarf rail, and I love the way adding a scarf can totally change the way something looks!
M - great tip about the M&S jeans in the sale! Last time I had to shop for jeans I struggled like mad to find a decent pair until eventually by chance I found an absolutely amazing fitting pair from Dorothy Perkins! It's horrible when an item of clothing you love gets spoilt by a stain too - although worth thinking about for the future - so long as the stain isn't oil-based and the base colour is light enough, sometimes you can dye a garment and save it that way.
Alison that's an amazing bargain! I really wish I had the confidence to shop eBay for clothing but it just doesn't work for me! M & S fit me best so when I need new ones I wait till their sales and stock up, even better if you can get your size on the last day of the sale when they want rid of everything for a fiver or less! My best bargain ever was a gorgeous cream jacket in M & S reduced to £10 on the last day of the sale. I loved it, it suited me and I got lots of compliments when I wore it but unfortunately I spilled something on it which left an unsightly stain so I have it no more :(Marksgranhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02870471905590321642noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7166949416950161358.post-63682974747543751892013-12-06T09:32:04.634+00:002013-12-06T09:32:04.634+00:00I agree about the 'uniform' thing. I add scarves to most things I wear as they instantly give an outfit a lift. I have lots of them - mostly bought from the same lady at the carboot from her '20p box'. I get good quality scarves that I couldn't usually afford for a tiny fraction of the price. I have quite a lot of coats and jackets - none of them bought new. They have come from charity shops( I got an 'as new' Windsmoor coat for £7 and a GAP jacket for £5) or from my Mum who buys things, wears them a couple of times, decides she doesn't like them and passes them on to me!Scarlethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01729719876504930455noreply@blogger.com
