This is Park Cottage, North Uist. The very first self catering cottage we stayed in, and also the first 2 week trip we made to the Hebrides. Remote enough to feel private, yet within a quick stroll of a very convenient Co-op and, better still a beach. This photo was taken on our first morning - we walked to the beach leaving the cottage with snow falling and getting to the beach in bright sunshine. Typical Hebrides weather! ...pretty little things - we had no idea what they were until Ben's Dad told us when they arrived to join us for the holiday later that day. It was a holiday of rainbows that year - it seemed we saw one at every turn, including this beauty...
Those colours are not enhanced at all, I promise you - that is exactly how the camera saw it!
