Sorting through last year's holiday photos I came across almost a whole days worth I'd never remembered to process. The shot above was one of them, and one of the first I set to processing as there was just something I liked about it. Quite often I come across a shot that really grabs me at thumbnail size, but almost as often it stops grabbing me quite so forcefully when I get it into PhotoShop and start playing. This one continued to grab, I'm pleased to say, so here it is. Luskentyre Beach, Harris. Possibly one of the most beautiful places you could imagine.

Hi Louise, just returning your visit and so glad I did. Obviously a big fan of the Hebrides. Luskentyre is indeed one of the most beautiful places on the planet.
Hi Neil - it's Robyn actually! The Hebrides are just magical aren't they - we don;t spend anything like so much time as we'd like to up there, but escape when possible, and would dearly love to be there more. I clearly remember the first time we saw Luskentyre - we walked up from the turn where the bus stops, it was a baking hot day, and we just rounded this corner and there it was, stretched out in front of us and so dazzlingly bright it just took our breath away. Incredible place!
